Sindhu Natarajan
Carnatic vocalist
Sindhu Natarajan is a vocalist and composer, who hails from a distinguished musical lineage. . She began her formal training in Carnatic music under the tutelage of her aunts, Vasanthi Kannan and Raji Gopalakrishnan, and her grandfather, P.V. Natarajan. Over the past fifteen years, Sindhu has enthralled Bay Area audiences with her captivating vocal performances. Beyond her solo endeavors, she has composed music for and collaborated with prominent South Asian dance companies and choreographers nationwide. Sindhu is also a prolific composer, passionately creating music that seamlessly blends the intricate nuances of Carnatic music with contemporary genres. A dedicated advocate for immigrant artists, Sindhu serves on the advisory board of The Immigrant Artist Network, where she helps foster a sense of community and empowers fellow creatives to share their unique perspectives. She currently lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two daughters.

Sri. N. Narayan
Percussion
N. Narayan comes from an illustrious family of musicians who, in addition to singing classical Carnatic music, are proficient in Bhajana Sampradaya - the renderings of devotional songs and hymns on festival days. Narayanan had his training in mridangam under his father Sri. P.V. Natarajan and Sri. P.S. Parameswaran of Mumbai. He has accompanied several leading musicians and has won awards for his performances in India and in Bahrain. He is a much sought after mridangist for dance concerts. He has been playing consistently for all Abhinaya productions since 1990, contributing immensely to the company’s several successful productions. Additionally, Narayanan is a gifted vocalist who also plays the harmonium.

Shanthi Narayanan had her initial training in violin under Sri. A. Anantharama Bhagavathar. She has accompanied several leading artists both in India and Bahrain. She has played for many dance productions and music concerts in the Bay Area. She has been playing consistently for all Abhinaya productions since 1990, contributing immensely to the company’s several successful productions. In the Bay Area, she is a much sought after violinist for dance concerts.
